Author Agreement
By submitting a manuscript to Innovative Aspects in Engineering (IAE), the authors confirm that they have read and agree to the following terms.
Originality
The work is original, has not been published elsewhere in any form or language, and is not under review by another journal. Material taken from earlier publications is cited.
Authorship
All listed authors made a significant contribution and have approved the final manuscript. The corresponding author handles communication with the journal. A change to the list of authors needs the approval of all authors and the editor.
Ethics
Research involving humans or animals has the appropriate ethical approval, and informed consent was obtained where required. Authors disclose any conflict of interest.
Copyright and licensing
Authors keep the copyright of their work. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). The journal may publish, distribute and archive the article and assign a DOI. Authors may share their work on institutional repositories and personal websites.
Data and materials
Supporting data and materials are available on request. Any restriction on sharing is disclosed. Authors are encouraged to share code and data in public repositories.
Plagiarism and misconduct
Manuscripts are screened with similarity-detection software. A similarity below 15% (excluding references) is acceptable, 15–25% is borderline and may need revision, and above 25% leads to rejection. Misconduct leads to rejection, and the journal may retract a published article.
Peer review
Authors take part in the review process, respond to reviewers promptly and make reasonable revisions. The decision of the editor is final.
Fees
The journal does not charge article processing charges. An optional Fast Track Review, which includes line editing, costs 300 USD.
Withdrawal
A manuscript may be withdrawn before acceptance. Withdrawal after acceptance may carry a penalty, and repeated withdrawals may restrict future submissions.
Corrections and retractions
Authors report errors as soon as they find them. The journal publishes corrections when needed and may retract an article after a major error or misconduct.
